SpaceX Combines Starship with Robotic Arms [Video]

SpaceX, which helps humanity’s dreams of traveling to Mars increasingly come true, continues to work on the huge Starship rocket for a long time. Consisting of two parts, the Super Heavy rocket and the Starship spacecraft, this spacecraft will be the longest rocket launched to date, with a length of 120 meters.

It is quite rare for us to see the Starship rocket in full size. The spacecraft remains in separate pieces unless it is put together for various tests from time to time. Today, SpaceX has performed that rare reunion again. Frames showing the moments when Starship was brought together were also shared by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Mechanical arms worked flawlessly on the first try:

Elon Musk shared on his Twitter account of Heavy Starn spacecraft Heavy Starship He showed the moments when it was brought on. The Starship spacecraft, held by huge mechanical arms called ‘Mechazilla’, was carefully placed on top of the Heavy Booster. This joining was actually a test for these mechanical arms.

Kollar was able to raise the Starship S20 spacecraft above the Heavy Booster in about 20 minutes. Then, aligning the two parts with each other, the arm ‘holding’ the Super Heavy to ensure its balance. With both parts in a stabilized state, the arms lowered the Starship onto the rocket and the two parts joined together. Kollar was able to assemble Starship on his first try. Before these arms, the spacecraft was assembled with the help of powerful cranes.
