Metaverse platform The Sandbox (SAND) has partnered with game developer Ubisoft to place the Rabbids game in the metaverse universe.
Ubisoft will establish the “entertainment destination” named LAND within The Sandbox metaverse.
Ubisoft has started creating voxed versions of Rabbids items and characters. Rabbids is a series that emerged from the Rayman universe and became popular within the Ubisoft ecosystem.
Ubisoft characters, which are more popular than Rabbids, are also expected to take place in the metaverse universe.
The move was Ubisoft’s first move to the metaverse.
Previously, Ubisoft started the NFT project for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint game, but shelved the project after the great reaction from the players.
Having previously partnered with Hedera to develop Web3 and game products, Ubisoft is now focused on the metaverse universe.
