In a recent Medium blog post by the Unification Foundation, a provider of blockchain solutions for enterprises, the public testnet of Shiba Inu’s Layer 2 scaling solution Shibarium will be released “very soon.”
In December, developer Eric M tweeted that Shibarium cannot be left silently and that there are some things that need to be done. He told the community that the much anticipated scaling solution will be launched soon. Then the second version of Shibarium’s private testnet was launched.
Shiba Inu developers have not released an exact timeline for the project. This has raised some concerns that the Shibarium launch will continue to be delayed indefinitely.
Because Shiba Inu is an ERC-20 token on top of the Ethereum blockchain, many suffer from high gas fees that cannot be met. Therefore, Shibarium is expected to be a game changer given that transactions will potentially become much faster and cheaper. Thus, the Shiba Inu will be optimized into the game.
Shiba Inu Developers Plan to Develop Stablecoin as SHI
The founder of Shiba Inu, nicknamed Ryoshi, announced that Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) will be used as Shibarium’s primary dual token.
In addition, the team has made clear that there will be no single source of failure, emphasizing that the Layer 2 solution will adhere to the principles of decentralization.
Shiba Inu developers are also planning to develop an algorithmic stablecoin called SHI that will run on both Ethereum and Shibarium.
