According to the news reported by CryptoPotato, the organization has partnered with the leading institutional Bitcoin company New York Digital Investment Group (NYDIG) for this service. Being the first credit union to offer Bitcoin services to Unify members; Professional football player John Johnson also joined the collaboration. Gordon Howe, President and CEO of the organization, said:

“As digital currencies become mainstream, we are excited to offer members a convenient, secure and fast way to access cryptocurrency alongside traditional account services as part of our core digital service.”

Unify has more than 260,000 members across the US and has branches in states such as California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. The organization manages over $3 billion in assets.

The organization also launched a campaign, saying that by February 14, all members who purchase $500 worth of BTC through UNIFY will have a chance to win a limited collection of NFTs called “JJ3” created by John Johnson. Winners will also have a one-on-one Zoom meeting with the player.
