The first information came about the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which is expected to consist of at least three models, including the high-end phone called S23 Ultra. As it is known, the technology giant will launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, one of the most powerful flagships of 2022, on February 9. This promotional event will take place online.
Even before the S22 series was announced, an important leak related to the Galaxy S23, which will probably be introduced next year, has emerged. Known for its information on unreleased products, Ice Universe is Samsung Display Co., Ltd., the unit responsible for display production of Samsung. He shared his experience about it.
Samsung Display ready for quad curved display production
According to the sharing of Ice Universe, Samsung Display has prepared the technical infrastructure to mass-produce four curved screens of equal width on all sides. It is not yet known whether it has started production, but even this development is considered as a harbinger of an important step for the future of smartphones.
According to another source, the S23 Ultra, which is expected to be the high-end variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, will have four curved screens produced by Samsung Display. However, the company may be developing this screen technology for another device instead of using it in the S23 Ultra. Rumors on this subject do not go beyond claims.
On the other hand, Ice Universe, quoting the source who said that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will come with four curved screens, on his social media account, “The S22 Ultra has a double curved screen, which makes a 4-sided equal-width screen design impossible. It is too early to talk about S23, I hope this news is true.” made his comment.
There are also some handicaps of four curved screens. For example, since the screen extends to the side, it can be difficult to detect the image on the edge. This negatively affects the user experience.
