Continuing its activities as an independent brand of Xiaomi, POCO is preparing to launch the X4 Pro 5G very soon. Some confusing details have emerged about the smartphone, which has been appearing on certification sites for a while and in the e-Government IMEI database recently.

Name and processor confusion in POCO X4 Pro 5G

As it will be remembered, the smartphone appeared in the FCC, TDRA and e-Government IMEI databases with the model number 2201116PG. Thus, it became clear that the device will be launched in global markets under the name POCO X4 Pro 5G.

The smartphone recently appeared on another certification site, NBTC, with the same model number. However, the name of the device in the database was POCO X4 5G. It is not yet known whether there is any mistake here or the name of the model has been changed.

Claims that the POCO X4 Pro 5G will be a rebranded version of the recently introduced Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G model have also started to increase. However, as of now, there has been no statement on the subject.

Another confusing point about the device is its processor. Because the predecessor POCO X3 Pro, which was introduced last year, uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 860, while it is claimed that the new model will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695. The reason for this is that the phone has the same technical specifications as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.

So what do you think about this subject? What do you think the name of POCO X4 Pro 5G in global markets can be? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section or on the SDN Forum.
