Twitter has taken the first concrete step towards realizing the idea of ’disliking tweets’, which has been expected for a while. The popular social media platform has now announced the downvote button, where people can leave negative reactions to tweets they don’t like. Sometimes heated discussions take place on Twitter. Worse, the course of the conversation under the sharing can change in a negative way and deviate from the purpose of the conversation. Twitter has been trying the downvote button in a few different ways since July. In the first of the tests, there were two buttons, positive vote and negative vote.
