Hyundai Casper was introduced as the smallest crossover model of the Korean manufacturer. Now, the commercial version of this cute model named Casper Van has been unveiled. The model in question will go on sale in South Korea today.
There is not enough room behind the Hyundai Casper, which is only 3595 mm long. That’s why the rear seats were removed from the list to create a cargo area in the Casper Van. In this way, 940 liters of cargo space was obtained. A protective cage is placed between the front seats and the rear section. In addition, the rear and side windows are supported by metal bars in order not to be damaged in any case.
The 1.0-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is used in the Hyundai Casper Van. If this engine, which produces 75 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque, is not enough, a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo unit producing 100 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque is also on the list. Both options have a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The starting price of the tiny commercial is $11,400 at current exchange rates. The entry-level features 15-inch steel wheels, six airbags, heated and power-folding side mirrors. Also on the list are manually adjustable seats, rear parking sensors and a foot-operated parking brake.
Although Casper Van is a cheap commercial, it does not compromise on technology. Technologies such as lane follow assist cruise control, forward collision warning and high beam assist come to the fore. In addition, LED daytime running lights, adjustable steering wheel and USB inputs are also standard features.
