While the expenditures on mobile games were 93.2 billion dollars in 2021, this amount is 36.7 billion dollars in PC and 50.4 billion dollars in consoles. We see that the lowest of these amounts is PC. There’s a big reason PC revenue lags behind consoles. While playing a game on PC, you can use community content such as mods or patches. Although most of the mobile games are free games, the numbers are clear. It seems that instead of paying for a game, players choose to pay for in-game items when necessary.
