Just the other day, Bungie, the studio behind games such as Destiny and Halo, announced that it was acquired by PlayStation and that they will develop games together from now on. Of course, obvious questions immediately began to come to him. One of those questions was whether Bungie games would be PlayStation exclusives.
If you ask why this problem is obvious, as you know, a few weeks ago, Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for exactly 68 billion dollars, and then there were rumors that Call of Duty would no longer be released for PlayStation. Well, after Bungie’s entry into PlayStation, people began to ask questions about whether Destiny 2 would be PlayStation exclusive.
Destiny 2 will not be a PlayStation exclusive game and will continue to be available on all platforms
Jim Ryan, CEO of PlayStation Studios, and Pete Parsons, CEO of Bungie, emphasized the same thing in their interviews. Pete Parsons said in an interview, “Everyone wants the massive Destiny 2 community to be able to continue their Destiny 2 experience no matter what platform they’re on. This approach will also apply to all future Bungie games. This is certain.”
PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan said similar things: “The philosophy behind this acquisition is not to suck things into PlayStation and exploit them. It’s about building a huge and wonderful new world together.”
