Sometimes revealing injustices in an environment is not always beneficial. If the other party has some power, the issue is covered up and even the leakers can be prosecuted and punished. A similar incident took place at Foxconn facilities.
Amazon confessor in trouble
In 2019, an important claim was made about Amazon China and its supplier Foxconn. Some documents were leaked about the employment of child workers at Foxconn Hengyang facilities, which produces Amazon Echo and Kindle.
Amazon China stated that there is absolutely no such situation and that they are conducting an important fight against hiring illegal workers. Foxconn, on the other hand, announced that they are constantly inspecting the facilities with independent controllers. As a result, Tang Mingfang, who made the leak, was detained and arrested by the police.
After 2 years in prison, Mingfang was released last September. Stating that he was innocent and his confessions were true, Mingfang wrote a letter to Jeff Bezos. The confessor stated that the events in question are true and that when Bezos investigates this, he will see the truth himself. In this way, he was acquitted of the charges and emphasized that he would be acquitted before the society. For now, there has been no response from Bezos.
