World of Warcraft, one of the most rooted MMORPG games in the history of the game, is about to undergo a change that it has never been close to. As you know, until this time, the game consisted of two sides, the Horde and the Alliance, but these two sides, which have been enemies for years, are about to unite soon.

World of Warcraft’s game director, Ion Hazzikostas, recently published a comprehensive blog post about the game. In this article, it was stated that the 18-year tradition of WoW will now be broken.

For the first time in history, two parties will be in the same group.

According to the statements made by the game director, Horde and Alliance can now be on the same side in World of Warcraft. In other words, in the dungeons, missions, raids and PvPs that WoW offers to the players, two sides that have been hostile to each other until now will be able to fight for the same purpose.

Director Hazzikostas used the following statements about this great change that excited everyone; “I am happy to announce that we are working on a new system for dungeons, raiding and ranked PvP that will allow Alliance and Horde players to party together.”

WoW makers need a little more time for this feature

Of course, it will not be easy to break a tradition that has been going on for years in WoW. Hazzikostas stated that in order to bring this feature to life, they need to overhaul 20-year-old codes and systems, so players have to wait a little longer to be in the same party with the other side.

So it would be wrong to expect the new feature to come with the upcoming Eternity’s End content update. According to Hazzikoastas, the grouping between Horde and Alliance will be possible after the 9.2.5 update.

Some rules will continue to apply

As we mentioned before, Alliance and Horde grouping will be possible in raid, dungeon and PvP areas. However, users belonging to guilds will continue to see the other side as an enemy in certain regions.
