Patch reports that Willy-Yums, a hot dog restaurant in Bradenton, Florida, will offer a 50% discount throughout February to anyone paying with Dogecoin (DOGE).
Restaurant owner Rob Williams said he has been a DOGE fan for two years after discovering Dogecoin on Robinhood.
When Williams first met DOGE, the asset was valued at only $0.002, which is why it was very attractive to him. From that day to May 8, 2021, the asset gained 36,400% and rose as high as $0.73.
Williams stated that Dogecoin is pretty cool, interpreting it as a “people’s coin”:
Willy-Yums used DOGE as a payment tool before launching the discount promotion. While only a few people have paid with DOGE so far, Williams believes this option will become more attractive with the discount.
