Banking giant JPMorgan highlighted the barriers to the two largest cryptoassets in a note to its customers.
Bank analysts stated that Bitcoin volatility is the biggest factor in the institutional barrier. He noted that among Ethereum’s challenges is the emergence of alternative blockchains such as Solana. He also emphasized the decline of Eth’s dominance in the DeFi space.
Analysts compared the volatility of Bitcoin and gold, and stated that for Bitcoin to be compared to gold, its value must rise to $ 150,000.
The bank pointed out that with Bitcoin volatility falling in April, adoption among institutional investors will also increase.
Yet Bitcoin remains five times more volatile than gold. The asset is experiencing bearish cycles that have institutional investors feared.
Ethereum continues to lose its dominance over DeFi with the emergence of alternative blockchains like Solana.
