The player monitor and the high screen refresh rates they reach are one of the indispensable conditions especially for e-sports tournaments. The company, which is among the largest display manufacturers in China and has made innovations that surprised the world in recent years, is here with the world’s fastest player monitor. The company, which exceeded the limits on the screen refresh rate side, has raised the bar to a place that has not been reached until now, such as 500Hz +.
BOE gaming monitor breaks record with 500Hz screen refresh rate
The Chinese company has come to the fore in folding screens, LED and OLED panel technology in recent years. At this point, the company, which forced the market share of Samsung and LG, came up with a new innovation. However, BOE is a panel manufacturer and such promotions, of course, do not mean that BOE has entered the monitor market.
The screen announced on the company’s website has Full HD Plus, that is, 1080p resolution. This huge gaming monitor, which is 27 inches in size, comes out with 1 ms response time and 8-bit color gamut support. The gaming monitor also has an 8-lane eDP connection.
The oxide back panel produced with oxide semiconductor screen technology is the technology behind this high screen refresh rate. BOE has started to invest heavily in this technology in recent years. The company previously introduced the world’s 8K resolution, 110-inch screen with 120Hz screen refresh rate.
The world’s fastest player monitor, introduced by BOE, is in a resolution like 1080p, which is not as preferred as before. However, screen refresh rate became more important than high resolution, especially for players participating in e-sports tournaments. In this way, players who increase their FPS values prefer high-speed screens for instant reactions in the game. Especially the 1 ms response time of the screen is also important in this respect. It is a matter of curiosity, especially what kind of experience the player monitor with 500Hz + screen refresh provides.
It is not clear when this new display technology will appear on player monitors. However, if the BOE has indeed reached these values, we may have entered a new era in panel competition.
