NFTs convert to GFTs
The game company, which has partnered with Republic Realm for the new project, will present one of 10 NFTs inspired by the company’s 50th anniversary retro games in the first series of gift boxes called GFT. However, boxes can only be opened on a specified date.
We can say that the new project is not Atari’s first crypto move. In October 2020, the company launched its own cryptocurrency, Atari Token. The new loot boxes, which are expected to be available from February 1, 2022, will be available for purchase through the GFT Shoppe and will be categorized as ordinary, rare and epic.
