Apple has 1.8 billion active devices

Sharing its revenue reports, Apple announced that they added 150 million more active devices in 2021. The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, announced that Apple currently has 1.8 billion active devices.

Record after record from Apple

Announcing $123.9 billion revenue and $34.63 billion net profit for the last quarter of last year, the technology giant said it was a record period in its revenues. In addition, the company broke its own record in the number of active devices.

Announcing the number of active devices as 1.5 billion in 2020, Apple said last year that this number was 1.65 billion. Finally, Tim Cook announced the number of active devices as 1.8 billion. When calculating the number of active devices, the company indicates the number of devices connected to an Apple service in the last 90 days.

Google also announced the number of Android devices that have access to Google Play last year. On the Android side, although it is stated that there are more than 3 billion active devices, it is said that the active Android device is even higher than this number, together with those who use alternative app stores.
