In the past months, Yemeksepeti has been hacked and the information of approximately 30 million users has been accessed. While the hackers claimed that they had reached Nevzat Aydın, a statement came from Yemeksepeti. Even the former CEO of Yemeksepeti made a statement on this issue. The explanation was as follows; “We continue to make all developments so that a similar incident does not happen again. ”
In the last hack incident, journalist İbrahim Haskoloğlu filed a criminal complaint against content producer Mesut Çevik on Yemeksepeti. We learned that Yemeksepeti had filed a criminal complaint through Haskoloğlu’s tweet. If the tweet is; “Today, for the first time in my life, I was called to testify because of a news I made. The reason is that the hackers, who said that Yemeksepeti stole their data, sent my full address and I did not share it with the public. Those who stole my data filed a criminal complaint instead of an apology.”
Because Haskoloğlu made news about hackers, Yemeksepeti filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor’s office.
Today, Yemeksepeti has received a flood of reactions through the tweet of the famous journalist İbrahim Haskoloğlu. The tweet shared by İbrahim Haskoloğlu is as follows; “Yemeksepeti filed a criminal complaint against me for praising Getir by saying “I use Getir, it’s better, I don’t use Yemeksepeti” in my own broadcast and because I made news about hackers.
In addition, as the Webtekno team, we contacted İbrahim Haskoloğlu about other explanations on the subject. Journalist Haskoloğlu; “It is very strange that they even took a clip of me saying ‘I will reach the hackers’ in the complaint petition. It is very strange that they clipped 30 seconds of the 10-hour broadcast and filed a complaint. The prosecution also calls me to testify. It is really sad,” he said.
Finally, to remind you, the hackers stated that they were waiting for the payment of the money they demanded from Yemeksepeti, and that they promised that if they paid, all the data would be destroyed along with their copies. They even announced that they did not want to share the information of 20 thousand users, but that they had warned Yemeksepeti managers many times and shared it because they thought they were bluffing.
