With almost record net earnings, Tesla left behind a more successful period than the previous year. Despite the company’s supply problems, the figures it has achieved are quite remarkable.
Tesla generated substantial revenue in the fourth quarter
It was learned that the company, which was observed to have made significant leaps compared to the previous year, achieved a net income of $ 2.3 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021. In 2020, this figure is only 270 million dollars, showing that Tesla has made a serious leap. On the other hand, the company closed the year 2020 with a total net income of $721 million. However, when the calendars showed 2021, it was observed that this figure reached 5.5 billion dollars. It was learned that the company made this profit from revenue of $17.7 billion.
Increasing vehicle production compared to the previous year, the company managed to produce 305,840 automobiles with an increase of 70 percent. However, Tesla narrowly missed its main target of 1 million vehicles. While the company produced 936 thousand 172 vehicles, it increased its capacity by 87 percent compared to the previous period. In the financial report, in which Elon Musk also expressed his views, serious messages are also given about the breakthrough year:
2021 was a breakthrough year for Tesla and electric vehicles in general. We were able to increase our volumes by nearly 90 percent last year, while tackling supply chain challenges like everyone else throughout the year. If we had introduced new vehicles, our total vehicle production would have decreased. We will not be introducing new vehicle models this year. It wouldn’t make sense.
Indicating that the developments on Cybertruck are continuing, Elon Musk pointed to the year 2023. Stating that they made investments in many countries, especially Germany, the company announced that they wanted to continue their growth targets.
