Ozzy Osbourne is on the agenda this time not with his music and style, but with his NFT collection. 9. Shortly after the launch of the “CryptoBatz” collection, which consists of 666 digital bat series, it also took its place in sales points such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, NME, Hypebeast and Business Insider.

However, it wasn’t long after its launch, and its tokens were minted two days ago, when it was the target of a phishing scam that drained the cryptocurrency from their wallets via a link shared via the project’s official Twitter account.

Events erupted when the URL of the Discord server changed. . .

Like most NFT projects, CryptoBatz uses Discord to organize its community. But discord CryptoBatz’s Discord URL. Things get messy by changing it to gg/cryptobatz. Discord with old link. The scammers set up a new Discord server at the gg/cryptobatznft URL, and not deleting the old URL from Ozzy Osbourne’s tweets caused his followers to be defrauded.

Tim Silman, one of the scammed people, in his statement, estimates that he visited the Discord server through a link on the CryptoBatz website and approximately $ 300-400 of ETH was withdrawn from his wallet. Many people lost much more than Silman.

When the scam link was clicked, it was written that the total number of members of the server was 1,330, indicating that this many people could have been scammed.
