Until now, we have seen that Microsoft is the biggest target of phishing attempts worldwide in many periods, but this “leadership seat” has been replaced by an unexpected company this time: the German logistics giant DHL.
According to the phishing research conducted by Check Point Research, DHL was the target of 23 percent of phishing attempts worldwide in the last quarter of 2021, which includes the Christmas holiday, and with this, it rose to the status of the most targeted company.
Of course, this is not a good result, but Microsoft should have relaxed a bit. Because, while Microsoft has been the target of phishing attempts for a long time, it also saw a record level of 29 percent, especially in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
The companies that follow Microsoft, which is currently in the second place with 20 percent after DHL, are WhatsApp with 11 percent and Google with 10 percent.
