We all know how bad it is to steal something from children. An employee at a school in New Mexico did exactly that. A woman named Kristy Stock was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing and selling more than 3,000 iPods made for Native American students.
Taking the responsibility of buying and distributing the iPods that will be distributed within the framework of the program prepared by the government for the Native American children living in the reservations, Stock bought the iPods with the money received from the government, but sold them on eBay at low prices without giving them to the children.
In his Stock statement, he confirmed that he had earned more than $800,000 by selling stolen goods. Moreover, he also received a tax refund of $270,000 during this time.
