Redmi, one of the most important sub-brands of Xiaomi, is pursuing a significant share in the flagship and mid-upper segment with the K50 series. So far, it has been revealed that the K50 Gaming Edition will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. According to a new leak, the processors used in all three devices of the series have been revealed.
Redmi K50 and K50 Pro processor revealed
MediaTek’s debut with a flagship-level 4nm processor has already started to change the balance. The lack of a phone using this processor so far is one of its biggest handicaps. However, according to the newly emerged leak, the Dimensity 9000 processor will appear with the K50 Pro. The processor has 1 x 3.05GHz Arm Cortex-X2 performance core, 3 x 2.85GHz Arm Cortex-A710 and 4 x 1.8GHz Arm Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. On the graphical interface side, the 10-core Arm Mali-G710 is used.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition may have a special cooling unit due to SD 8 Gen 1
Redmi uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as predicted in the K50 Gaming Edition model, which is the gaming phone of the series in this sense. Again, the processor, which has a 4nm architecture like the Dimensity 9000, is on the agenda with heating problems. In this sense, it is highly likely that Redmi will also include special cooling units in its flagship model. The processor includes one 3.0 GHz ARM Cortex-X2, three 2.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and four 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores, in addition to the Adreno 730 graphics unit.
The most unpretentious member of the series, the Redmi K50, was among the estimates to use the Dimensity 8000. However, according to the latest leak, the Snapdragon 870 processor will power this model. Snapdragon 870 has 7nm processor architecture and is the more performance version of 865 Plus. In this sense, Redmi seeks to appeal to the affordable mid-high-end market with the K50 model.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and emerging features
The K50 Gaming Edition, which has very ambitious features, will be the first model of the series to be introduced. Although the introduction date is not yet known, the K50 Gaming Edition features have begun to emerge.
On the screen side, it is expected that the model, which is expected to come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen, has a curved screen design. The fingerprint sensor of the screen, which has a Full HD Plus resolution, will be located on the side, according to the latest claims. It is also expected that this screen will come with a 120 Hz screen refresh.
In this sense, other members of the series will be in front of us with the same fingerprint sensor technology. According to previously revealed information, the model measures 162 x 76.8 x 8.45mm and weighs 210 grams.
On the camera side, it turned out that the front camera is 16 Megapixels. This camera is accompanied by a 48 Megapixel or 64 Megapixel main camera on the back. The other cameras of the model that will come with a triple camera are 13 Megapixels and 2 Megapixels resolution.
On the battery side, the battery capacity of 4,700 mAh is also in front of us again in the leak that emerged today. It has also been revealed that it will use 120W fast charging to fill this battery.
