Japan-based technology giant Sony produced handheld consoles years ago, and these products were selling like cheesecake. Yes, we are talking about PSP and PS Vita. However, a few years ago, the company made a statement and announced that it would no longer produce handheld consoles. In fact, this was the right approach because the developing smartphones and computers destroyed the popularity of handheld consoles. Obviously, no one criticizes this decision.
Now, there has been a remarkable development about the PSP, which is about to be forgotten. A photo shared under the PlayStation title on Reddit, one of the world’s largest social networks, reminded this handheld console again. A Reddit user recreated the PSP with his friend, creating a very impressive concept design.
Here is the concept design for the PSP.
Reddit user Foxbone, who created a concept design for the PSP with a friend, says that while imagining this handheld console, they were inspired by the DualSense controller released with the PlayStation 5. However, the controller of PlayStation 5 has undergone some changes for the handheld console. Foxbone states that they have increased ergonomics with the changes on the remote. On the other hand, it is obvious that this concept design is also inspired by Nintendo Switch.
It wouldn’t be surprising for anyone if a PSP with this design was announced by Sony itself. However, as we mentioned at the beginning of our news, such a thing will never happen. So what are your thoughts on this concept design? If Sony came up with such a handheld console a few months later, would you consider purchasing this product? You can share your ideas with us.
