AMD’s new feature called “Radeon Super Resolution” (RSR – Radeon Super Resolution) promises a 70 percent increase in game performance.
AMD’s new technology has the same infrastructure as the recently introduced AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology. However, the main difference between the two technologies is that AMD Radeon Super Resolution technology comes embedded in the driver software. The feature, which can be used on all of AMD’s RDNA-based GPUs, can be activated in AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition. In this way, thousands of games will be played in an unmatched quality.
RSR increases fps from Warframe from 222 to 346
AMD Radeon Super Resolution is a technology that leverages the power of artificial intelligence. Testing this technology on Warframe, the company showed very impressive results. As you can see in the image above, the fps taken with RSR increased from 222 to 346. This means a performance increase of around 55 percent.
Using AMD’s new AI-powered technology is also very simple. What gamers have to do is activate RSR by entering AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition after reducing the resolution of a game below the maximum resolution offered by their monitor. Artificial intelligence brings the image quality back to the maximum level and offers the best possible performance to the player. This technology seems to change the experience of gamers completely.
