While the prices of even the lowest-featured zero phones have risen to utopian levels, many people who are considering changing their phones have naturally turned to second-hand or refurbished phones. An important warning was given from the Ministry of Commerce about the refurbished phones, where the defective phones were repaired and re-released without any problems.
In its statement, the Ministry stated that fines were imposed on companies that sell phones under the name of ‘refurbished products’ without authorization. He also stated that consumers should purchase refurbished phones only from centers authorized by the Ministry so that they do not experience any potential grievances.
Number of centers authorized to sell refurbished used phones 11
The Ministry, which has authorized the renewal centers that have met the conditions determined since 2020, reminded that the number of these centers has increased to 11. It was stated that thanks to this system, informality decreased, consumers’ idle mobile phones were brought into the economy, wastage was prevented and it contributed positively to the foreign trade balance.
