Volkswagen, which is advancing rapidly in the electric car industry, continues to work on the new EV sedan vehicle it has built on the MEB platform. For now, the new model, codenamed Aero B, has been spotted testing under cold weather conditions in northern Sweden.
The Aero B is Volkswagen’s first electric sedan. The spy photos that have emerged already show that the Aero B will be very similar to the ID Vizzion, released by VW in 2018.
Aero B has Passat camo for now
Volkswagen is trying to keep the design of its first EV sedan a secret. Since the auto giant uses the details of the Passat as a make-up for the vehicle for now, we have no idea what VW’s first electric sedan will look like.
To think about the design, we know that Volkswagen likes to bring its concept cars to real life, at least in terms of design. Therefore, we can say that the Aero B will be very similar to the ID Vizzion concept car introduced by the company in 2018.
The new EV sedan will have a range of 700 kilometers
Aero B seems to make a rapid entry into the electric car market. Because in this period when long-range EV cars come to the fore, it is said that the Aero B will have a range of 700 kilometers. In addition, let’s not go without saying that the vehicle will provide a range of 230 kilometers in 10 minutes of fast charging with 200 kilo-watt charging support.
The dimensions of the Aero B are expected to be equivalent to the Passat. It is among the rumors that the interior of the vehicle will be similar to the Phaeton, one of the most prestigious models of the brand.
The real name of Aero B, which will meet its buyers in 2023, has not been finalized yet. Initially, this EV sedan was expected to be called the ID 6, but the name was taken by Volkswagen’s electric SUV for the Chinese market.
