One of the most popular smartphone models in the Android ecosystem was undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy S3. The flagship phone released in 2012 had unique features for those years. However, an independent developer from XDA Developers did not give up on this legendary phone. The developer, who carried out a very meticulous work, managed to run Android 12 on the Galaxy S3.

Unofficial version lacks many features but still works

Using the html6405 username, the developer, a member of XDA Developers, combined Android 12 with LineageOS. By adapting the operating system to the Exynos 4412 processor of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the developer has enabled this popular smartphone to run Android 12. The interface, called LineageOS 19.0, is currently deprived of many features, but still works.
