The Honor Magic V foldable phone is expected to launch in China in January 2022. Official teasers revealed that it will have an inward-folding design and a perforated cover display. Today DCS shared the specs of the Magic V based on the prototype model.
Before talking about the screen dimensions, DCS claimed that the Honor Magic V’s internal foldable display has a hole in the upper right corner. The official teaser revealed a slight curvature towards the right edge of the cover screen.
Honor Magic V features
The front screen of the Honor Magic V model supports 90Hz refresh rate. The internal screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to come out with the latest version of Magic UI. At this point, the user comes across with Android 12 installed as the operating system.
Several reports have suggested that the Honor Magic V will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. A new leak has also claimed that it will be the first foldable phone powered by the SD8G1 processor. There is no information about the battery capacity yet. However, it is said to have 66W fast charging support.
There are expectations of a triple camera setup on the back cover of Magic V. The source of the leak suggests that the setup will be led by a 50 Megapixel camera. Details of other cameras were not mentioned in this leak. According to other rumors, the company is also working on a different foldable phone with a clamshell design, apart from the Magic V. It is expected to be available in China in the first quarter of 2022.
