China-based smartphone manufacturer Honor plans to launch its first foldable phone, called the ‘Magic V’, soon. The company began to share and excite people for this phone, which will be its flagship. In the past days, claims have been made that the Magic V will be the first foldable phone to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
Apart from that, leaks have spread that the phone will have a 6.5-inch external display, will reach 8 inches when opened, and its design will resemble the Honor 50 and Honor 60. After these developments, many sources began to predict that the official announcement of the phone would be made soon. Now, an important claim has been made on this subject.
May be introduced on January 10
In a tweet on December 24 by Twitter user Teme (@rodent950), known for its leaks, it was claimed that the company’s highly anticipated foldable phone will be introduced soon. Teme stated that the Honor Magic V will be introduced on January 10 and will be brought to the Chinese market. Of course, although we say that this user is a source whose leaks can turn out to be true, we have to state that there is still no official statement about the launch of the phone.
Although there is not much information about the phone other than leaks so far, Zhao Ming, the CEO of the company, who left Huawei in 2020, published a short video from Honor’s Weibo account and gave little information about the phone. Ming stated that the Magic V will have one of the best foldable phone displays and will feature sophisticated hinge technology to reduce the chance of damage.
It should be noted that foldable phones are getting more and more popular. Experts think that phones with this technology will be the future of smartphones and will become increasingly common if the reliability and high price problem can be resolved. Since Honor’s new phone will take an important step in this regard, it arouses curiosity and excitement in many people.
