Xiaomi has confirmed that the company will launch the next-generation Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro phones on December 8th. The company brings the phones to users in China’s own domestic market. Today, Xiaomi’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, made a post on his Weibo account.
Jun shared a poster showing that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 screen has been certified by DisplayMate with an A+ rating. In addition, he stated that the smartphone created 15 screen-related records for DisplayMate. He added that further information on this is unknown.
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus will protect the Xiaomi 12 screen
Lei Jun revealed that the Xiaomi 12 uses AMOLED display that supports 16,000-level screen brightness, which adds precision screen and durability experience. In addition, it announced that it has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is more robust for protection.
Coming to the specifications of the smartphone, both are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. In a GeekBench benchmark test, the Pro variant managed to score 1246 points in single-core tests and 3903 points in multi-core tests.
