In the past weeks, the cameras of the Galaxy S22 Ultra have leaked many times. The P-shaped module will house four sensors, similar to what we saw on its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 Ultra. While the 108MP camera sensor found in the previous generation counterparts will also be found on this phone, it seems like Samsung will have a few new features when it comes to software.

Imaterial. co stumbled upon some lines of code highlighting an interesting new feature called “Detail enhancer” in the Galaxy S22 Ultra camera app. It looks like the device will use the 108MP camera sensor to ‘enhance’ the detail in a captured image. How the camera plans to ‘enhance’ said image remains a mystery, but it will likely involve some software gimmicks. As a result, we can come across some really interesting macro shots.

This feature could be an add-on to the special 108MP shooting mode in the Samsung Camera app that we’ve seen since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The news also says that the feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy S22 Ultra for a while. Still, Samsung has a pretty good track record of porting new features to its older high-end phones. For this reason, you can be sure that we will see this feature on devices equipped with older 108MP sensors, such as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. . .
