Apple opened its doors to distinguished journalists and Youtubers to promote the first special design modem chip C1. For the first time, this chip on the new iPhone 16E, compared to Apple’s thesis, has passed meticulous tests in the modem test laboratories.

C1 is the modem with the highest power efficiency used on an iPhone compared to Apple. The iPhone 16E, thus offers the longest battery life in the midst of 6.1 -inch models, and the image monitoring sequence goes up to 26 hours.

Laboratory where Apple’s C1 chip is produced

The C1 chip is tested in all conditions from very temperature tests to physical endurance tests in Apple’s laboratories, from heavy network traffic simulations to signal quality in rural areas. Moreover, in 55 countries, it is said to be tested with more than 180 operators to guarantee global contact performance.

Designed to work integrated with the A18 chip, the C1 has an architecture optimized for higher faces, but now it does not offer MMWave 5G. Compared to rumors, Apple is working on the next generation C2 modem chip for use in future iPhone models.

Recent rumors are that the company will prefer MediaTek instead of the Qualcomm modem chips that the company will produce in the next iPhone 17 series.
