GTFO has been closely followed by a loyal player base since its release in Early Access in 2019 and has one of the most active Discord servers in the world with over 200,000 members. But until now, they’ve never had a chance to show their love for GTFO without playing the game. This situation is changing with the opening of the official GTFO store today, and they are trying to do this in a different way from traditional game products.
“When we decided to launch GTFO products, we also decided not to use the classic game logo printed on the Fruit of the Loom t-shirt,” says 10 Chambers Creative Director Ulf Andersson. “We wanted to create products that people really want to wear and that won’t sit deep in your closet after the first wear. Secondly, we have a lot of designers and most of them are into streetwear and fashion. We wanted to bring out this creativity in our GTFO products to bring the gaming brand into fashion.”
You can find a wide variety of streetwear hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, bags, berets and hats, as well as unique items to collect. For example, a work vest and hard hat bearing the logo of Santonian Industries, one of the mining companies in the GTFO game, are among them. Another is a handcrafted bust of one of the GTFO in-game gas masks made from a mixture of epoxy resin and iron powder, which gives a natural patina through oxidation. It is presented with a support made of stone, with the copper plate GTFO logo on the side.
Ulf Andersson said, “With the Cast GTFO Collection Mask, we wanted to create a truly collectible piece, handmade by our friends at the Arclight Company in Stockholm, Sweden. This mask will be limited to 100 pieces only, will live on as it was made on your shelf and will wear out over time; it will even take on an impressive patina look,” he says. “We hope our community will like the products we offer, and we believe they will see the real attention we give before we open our store.”
