The Control Panel, which has been with us for years in Microsoft’s Windows operating system and where we can make many basic settings on our computer, is now slowly starting to retire. While the company moves some settings, such as the sound setting, to the more modern Settings page with Windows 11, it continues to migrate other settings in the Control Panel.
The newest tab to switch from the Control Panel to the more modern-looking Settings page in Windows 11 was the “Programs and Features” tab. With the Windows 11 Insider Build 22523 version released for those participating in the Insider program, when you click this option in the Control Panel, you will leave the Control Panel and be directed directly to the ‘Applications’ tab in Settings.

“Programs and Features”, whose page in the Control Panel has been removed, has literally been removed. So much so that even the “Installed Updates” page that opened when you typed “shell:AppUpdatesFolder” in Run has been removed. Instead of this page, Windows redirects you to the Apps page in Settings.
