Every comment on social media platforms may not receive positive reaction. When users want to express that they do not agree with a comment, they cannot find a mechanism to show this reaction. Instagram is preparing to bring Dislike button to comments to find a solution to this situation.

Instagram brings Dislike button to comments

Instagram CEO Adam Mosser, Threads account, said the users have tested the Dislike button for comments on the requests. Alessandro Paluzzi, who was previously known for his leaks, also announced this feature.

According to Mosseri, this button will allow users to express that they do not agree with the comments. The number of dislikes will not be seen by everyone and who does not like it will not be clear.

Steam many sellers have been announced

Steam, the largest digital game store, announced the best -selling between February 4 – February 11, 2025.

Instagram aims to make the commentary more vivid. But that’s not the only reason behind the dislike button. The platform will use the data to be obtained from this feature to optimize the interpretation sorting algorithm.

“I want to be open: This is a test, no number of likes, and no one will know that you are clicking on the button. In the end, we can use this signal in a comment ranking to move unlikely comments. ”

Mosser did not say when the test process would end and the Dislike button would reach a wider audience.

Meta and Instagram are not the first step in this platform. Platforms such as Youtube and Reddit have been using dislike features for years. Even Youtube has been hiding the number of dyslike since 2021.
