Many people complain about the camera experience of Google phones. At this point, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have eliminated this problem as they come with upgraded camera hardware. Adobe realized this and brought RAW photo support to the Ligthroom application, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 Ultra models, as well as two phones.

9to5Google has spotted a change in a help page for its Camera Raw extension, which processes RAW images for a number of its services, including Lightroom. As part of the extension’s December update, all the lenses of the Pixel 6 series, including the auxiliary rear cameras, were added to the list, along with the telephoto lens duo of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the three rear sensors of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Ligthroom brings official support for RAW format images

With the latest version of the plugin, RAW format images from the phones we mentioned above have been officially supported. You can still edit it unofficially if you want, but users are happy to see that the plugin has officially arrived.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are among the supported devices

Other devices that received support in the update included the ultra-wide lens and some main camera of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. According to the table, it was stated that the only device that received a lens correction profile was the Sony A7 IV camera. However, this camera is not included in many devices.

To properly use Lightroom with your images on the Pixel 6, you need the latest version of both the Camera Raw extension and Lightroom 5. 1 or Lightroom Classic 11.1.
