One of the sectors included in the NFT market is the game world. Some studios release special collections for their productions, while others distribute special figures to the actors themselves. Although there are debates about reliability, there are productions that earn quite a lot of income.

One of these productions is Legacy, developed by Peter Molyneux. The game, which has not yet entered the market, is already making millions of dollars for its producer.

The game that made millions of dollars thanks to NFTs

Launched to push the limits of blockchain, the game earns its income by selling plots to players. People who buy the land called Land NFT have the opportunity to open a business in the regions they own. Players who can produce digital buildings and products will also be able to earn real income from what they do there.

The currency in the game is Ethereum-based, LegacyCoin. Land NFTs of the production, which is not expected to be released until the end of next year, are also on sale. The interest in these collections, which are necessary for the game, was great. While it was learned that some of the lands were sold for very high figures, it turned out that Peter Molyneux had an income of $ 53 million.

The most expensive land in the construction, which made a record amount of money, found buyers for exactly 900 thousand dollars. Players, on the other hand, have to wait before they can process these plots. Because the production, which has not yet been released, did not give any release date. It is also claimed that there will not be any early access process for Legacy.

The NFT industry, which has now entered the gaming world, is still the number one item of discussions. The Steam front has previously announced that it will not take such games on its platform due to suspicions of fraud. While the Epic Games front is approaching more moderately, other companies are making some moves on the basis of collections. While Ubisoft is releasing NFT figures for Ghost Recon, this number is expected to increase further in the future. It is possible to say that especially the game world will continue the discussions for a while. Let’s see if the players will be happy at the intersection of the two sectors. We’ll wait and see.

What do you guys think about the subject? Would you invest that much in a game that hasn’t been released yet? Do not forget to share your views with us.
