Researcher Bay Martinka from Liberec Technical University in Czechia announced that they used Euro Truck Simulator 2 to simulate the driver’s fatigue in a faithful state.

Martinka’s group, placing the subject drivers in a steering driving seat, playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 for hours. The effects of fatigue on driving were observed in these tests.

The main purpose of the study was to develop a precise formula that could detect the moment when the drivers entered the micro sleep. The “Smart T -shirt” developed for this is measuring fatigue by following the breathing scheme of the wearer. Martinka said that classic vehicle sensors do not always result in truth, but the smart T -shirt offers a safer alternative.

In the light of the success of the researcher in the tests of his argument, another study will be held in Japan at the end of the year.
