As part of this event, Toyota, which took the stage with its sub-brand Lexus, announced 16 new models. All of these are completely electric and there is a model for everyone.
Among the vehicles introduced in Toyota’s announcement, there are members such as SUVs, cars, crossovers, pickup trucks, buses and sports cars. Although the company has not touched on the technical details of its vehicles, the electric motor vehicles that will be launched with Toyota and Lexus logos seem to create excitement already.

Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda, known for his harsh statements on electric motor vehicles, was one of the names that took the stage at today’s event. Speaking about Toyota’s plans for the future, the CEO stated that electric vehicles are one of the most promising options when it comes to reducing carbon emissions. According to Akio Toyoda, the company’s overall strategy in the automotive revolution will continue as “low carbon vehicles” (hybrid) and “carbon neutral vehicles”. The event held today was notable for its total focus on carbon neutral vehicles.
Toyota introduced its first all-electric vehicle, the bZ4X, at an event it held a while ago. SUVs, compact SUVs and cars that we encounter at today’s event will also be built on the platform called bZ. Industry sources think that the engine that powers the bZ4X will appear in other models, and the main difference between the vehicles will be the range. According to estimates, each model will offer a range of at least 300 kilometers, and battery capacity will be scaled according to the design of the vehicle.
When we look at the models introduced on the Lexus front, we see that crossover and sports cars come to the fore. As you can imagine, the technical details of these vehicles are also unknown. However, we can easily say that the sports cars that will be launched with the Lexus logo will have very impressive designs.
In the statements made by Toyota, it is stated that it aims to launch a total of 30 fully electric models, including commercial models, by 2030. We can say that this figure is quite ambitious. If the company is determined in this target, by 2022, it will appear with an average of 4 electric motor vehicles every year. Moreover, Toyota wants to have sold only electric motor vehicles by 2035. However, there is a point to be noted at this point.
Even though Toyota made a radical decision in the electric motor vehicle sector, it continues to look for alternatives. In this context; It is already known that the company wants to design vehicles that run on hydrogen fuel for a while.
