During these waits, time never passes, and for most people, delays and waits feel much longer than they actually are. Waiting slows down our perception of time because it changes the amount of time we spend thinking about time.

In our daily lives, we often ignore time and do not pay much attention to time.

Of course, our brain has a limited capacity, and while we have dozens of things to think about, we do not want to think about time and fill this capacity when it is not important. This actually causes time to pass faster.

While we wait, our desire to know when this process will end causes us to think more about time. Most of us get stuck on the minutes of the clock during a wait. This makes us think that time passes slower.

Uncertain return times and limited opportunities to participate in activities and meet with their families cause the waiting time to return home to feel much longer than six months.

However, astronauts claim that time passes 80% faster when they are involved in various research and studies in space. In the minutes or hours when they are not busy with anything, this time passes much slower than they do.

In summary, regardless of where you are, waiting is a very difficult action and causes undesirable but inevitable changes in the perception of time.
