Samsung Galaxy S25 The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are probably only a few months away from being released, but rumors indicate that there may be another model in the series this time.

Samsung may also be working on a fourth, slimmer model, thought to be called Galaxy S25 Slim. The company may want to produce a thinner phone for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series because there are rumors that Apple is planning to take the first step in 2025 with the iPhone Air 17, which will be a similar thin phone.

We expect the Samsung Galaxy S25 to launch in January or February, so we might see the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim around April or May. Apple, on the other hand, will launch its own thin phone with the new iPhone 17 series in September – October 2025. At least that’s what the expectations are.

We do not yet know exactly how thin the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will be. However, the thinnest model in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is 7.6mm thick, so we can expect it to be noticeably thinner than that.

How thin will these phones be?

So, is a 5 mm thick phone possible? Yes, it may be because the new generation li-ion batteries with condensed cells are really thin and manufacturers are preparing to produce thin phones thanks to these batteries.

Probably the iPhone 17 Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will also use these new thin batteries. However, these batteries are not sold only to Apple and Samsung. Therefore, it seems likely that other manufacturers in the market will launch “thin” phones such as 5-6-7 mm in 2025.

In 2025, the cries of “I put my phone in my back pocket and it bent when I sat down” will rise again, let’s be prepared now. If you are one of those who carry your phones in your back trouser pocket, we recommend that you try to get rid of this habit now.
