One smart watch remained. There was no need for a camera, either. Samsung will have heard this ‘reproach’ as well, so it looks like it has taken action. According to a new patent discovered, Samsung seems to use that technology in its new smart watch.
Which technology? Cameras, of course. Only smart watches were missing, and cameras will come to them. Isn’t it really interesting where a device you have on your wrist just to show the time has come from? Anyway, let’s see what this patent is and what it isn’t.
Clamshell screen, camera underneath
A new company patent discovered at WIPO talks about a smartwatch with a sliding screen. It is clear from the shape of the device in the photo that it is a Galaxy Watch, and it appears that the screen can be ‘extended’. What is meant by extension is a sliding cover. In other words, the cover will be kept closed and the screen will be protected and only opened when needed. This will extend its useful life.
There will also be a camera embedded in this clamshell display. By opening this cover, you will be able to expose the camera and use it as you wish. What do you think about having a camera in a smartwatch? Please do not forget to share with us in the comments.
