South Korean technology giant Samsung’s most popular products, like many other technology giants, are smartphones. But of course, the company is not just about the phone, and the smartphone development and design part is carried out by the relevant department. And the company is making big changes in this department with its new decision.
According to recent statements, Samsung’s mobile division has been merged with its consumer electronics division. A new name was given to the new part consisting of the combination.
“Mobile Experience”
As Samsung previously announced, on December 10, it merged its consumer electronics and mobile divisions. The reason for this merger was the desire to work in a single ecosystem, from the design phase of mobile devices to the sales phase and other commercial processes, by eliminating the distant relationship between the two departments. Thus, things could be viewed more holistically.
The new section was named Mobile Experience (MX), which means “mobile experience”. Han Chan Hee took the executive chair. In a statement just before the decision was made official, Hee said: “After decades of innovation and leadership in the mobile industry, we are pleased to announce that our division will be renamed. We believe this name change will help us usher in a new era of mobile innovation where we can create even more exciting experiences for Galaxy users.
