Telegram announced version 11.3.0 to improve users’ experience. The update comes with many new features integrated into the platform.
It now offers many innovations, from increasing video upload speed to new playback speed options, from the feature of adding media to last edit timestamps.
New features coming with the update
Faster video upload
With the update, Telegram introduces an innovation in which the video player will automatically select the most suitable quality according to the internet connection for large channel uploads. In this way, videos will load faster and data will be saved for users.
New playback speed options
Users will have the opportunity to easily adjust the playback speed of videos. By tapping on the right side, they can increase the speed by 1.5 times, while by swiping they can increase it up to 2.5 times. Once they stop tapping, the speed will automatically return to normal.
Add media in messages
Telegram users will be able to later add media to the messages they send. When they forget to attach files, they will be able to do it with just two taps and there will be no need to delete and resend the message.
Last edit timestamps
Edited messages will now be presented with timestamps showing when they were last modified. If the message is edited more than once, only the last edit time will be displayed.
Specific hashtags
Group and channel owners will have the opportunity to create chat-specific hashtags. For example, they will be able to achieve certain results with the #travel@username format.
Revenue sharing for bots
Telegram will share 50% of advertising revenue for bots and mini-apps with content creators and bot developers. This approach will provide a financial model that supports the development of bots.
Increased message limits
Telegram bots will now be able to send up to 30 messages per second. For larger services, this limit can be increased to 1,000 messages per second.
Halloween gifts
As part of Halloween events, Telegram will offer new limited gifts to its users.
Updates have become available for all iOS users. Android users will be able to download the updates by clicking on the relevant page or from the Google Play Store.
