Realme GT 7 Pro, the eagerly awaited new model of the smartphone world, will take its place in the Chinese market on November 4 with Qualcomm’s cutting-edge processor. The device will be the first widely available phone to carry Qualcomm’s new processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, last minute changes in the processor may be the subject of interesting developments in the sector.

The late reported processor name change caught Realme off guard

The name of the processor, which was originally planned as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, was changed to Snapdragon 8 Elite by Qualcomm. However, this change seems to have caught manufacturers, especially Realme, unprepared. Because in the box image of Realme GT 7 Pro, which appeared in a recent report, the processor appears as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Realme officials announced that they were notified of the name change just a few days before the Snapdragon Summit. While this sudden change caused the old naming to appear on the boxes of the review units, the company stated that all boxes will bear the current name Snapdragon 8 Elite when mass production begins.
