A former Rockstar Games developer hinted that GTA 6 will raise the series’ realism bar to a whole new level. Ben Hinchliffe, who worked on GTA 6 before leaving Rockstar in 2022, made important statements about the new game.
GTA 6 will be more realistic than ever
When asked what would surprise players the most, the former Rockstar designer pointed to realism. “Just look at how every game Rockstar has made has evolved in some way,” he said in his statement. “With each gameplay loop, every element of the game progresses in terms of feeling more realistic and making people act and react more realistically,” he said.
Hinchliffe stated that GTA 6 will surprise people with how realistic its world and characters are. He pointed out that Rockstar has once again raised the bar with its latest technical innovations. He also predicts that the game will “sell incredibly well” like GTA 5, which was released in 2013.
Although he doesn’t go into details, Hinchliffe’s comments indicate that he will make GTA 6’s open world and artificial intelligence more realistic than ever before in the series.
Rockstar Games published the first trailer of GTA 6 in December 2023 and announced that the game would be released in 2025. In the statements made in May 2024, the company further clarified the release date of the game as autumn 2025.
Rumors that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be postponed to 2026 have stirred up the gaming world recently. An important statement on the subject came from Jason Schreier. The well-known journalist said that he met with six different Rockstar employees and none of them were aware of the postponement.
