Android 15 feature: Private Space
Private Space feature can be accessed from Settings – Security and privacy – Private (Hidden) Space section. Android’s Private Space feature is largely similar to the Secure Folder app on Samsung phones. Users will not need additional applications to hide applications on Android phone. So, how does Private Space work?
Private Space creates a new Android profile linked to the primary user, like a work profile. This profile is locked in different ways depending on the user’s preference. To install applications on this profile, the user must log in to his Google account. Applications in the Private Area can be accessed from the bottom of the application drawer. However, the feature is still under development and it is unclear whether photos and other files can be hidden outside of apps.
It is not thought that the feature that appeared in the Android 14 QPR2 version will be ready for use anytime soon. It is estimated that the Private Space feature will come with Android 15.
