The launch date of the iQOO Neo 9 series has been announced
For those who missed it, iQOO Neo 8 and 8 Pro were introduced last May and managed to make a splash with their features. We even told you that the Pro model broke a record with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. In this context, the excited wait for the iQOO Neo 9 series continued.
In the past hours, some teaser images containing the launch date of the smartphones were leaked to the internet. In these images, it is stated that the iQOO Neo 9 series will be introduced on December 27. However, we should point out that both models will first go on sale in the Chinese market. It will probably take until early 2024 to reach the global market.
iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro expected features
The iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to be introduced in a dual-tone design consisting of white and red colors. Both models will be supported by a 6.78-inch flat OLED display on the front, offering a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. In addition, this panel will be accompanied by 2160Hz PWM dimming and an under-screen fingerprint sensor.
iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro differ from each other in the processor section. Accordingly, the Pro model will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300 paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, and the basic model will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, one of last year’s flagship solutions. Additionally, Neo 9 Pro is expected to come out of the box with a 5,000mAh battery pack with 120W fast charging support, Sony IMX920 primary camera with OIS support, and 50MP Samsung JN1 wide angle sensors. There will be a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
