Samsung’s foldable phones are among the most reliable and consistent devices in the segment. However, this position they hold does not mean that they are the best in every respect.

The narrow cover screens of the Galaxy Z Fold series phones are not liked by many people, and Samsung has been requested to widen the cover screens a little more for years. According to Korean blog site Naver, this demand of users will eventually be met with Galaxy Z Fold 6.

It is said that Samsung will change the screen aspect ratio of the cover screen and the inner screen with the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is claimed that the device, codenamed Q6, has a different aspect ratio for its screen. Rumor has it that Samsung tested various concepts and decided on a design with a different screen aspect ratio than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, these reports do not confirm whether the aspect ratio is wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

It seems that the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will follow a similar path with the Galaxy S25 series. Additionally, like most Chinese foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 reportedly features a lighter design than previous models, reducing the wrinkling of the foldable display. With the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung introduced a hinge system that did not leave a gap between the two halves of the phone when closed. It is now expected that Samsung will make the phone thinner and lighter and offer a larger cover screen.
